News: Beyonce Banks $87 Milli In 2010, Earns Spot On Hollywood's 20 Highest Earners List

Grammy-winning superstar Beyonce Knowles has dominated her competition once again, as she is currently the highest-ranking singer on Forbes' Hollywood's 20 Highest Earners of 2010 list.
According to the list, Beyonce banked $87 million over the past year.
The R&B/pop star's estimated 2010 earnings of $87 million were enough to make her the highest-ranking musician on the list, at No. 9. Britney Spears came in at No. 13 with $64 million netted over the past year, while Lady Gaga closely followed at No. 14 with $62 million earned. Other musical artists who made the bottom half of the list include Madonna (No. 15 with $58 million), Miley Cyrus (No. 18 with $48 million) and Taylor Swift (No. 19 with $45 million). Oprah Winfrey easily snagged the top spot on the list with a whopping $315 million netted in 2010, while "Avatar" director James Cameron came in second with $210 million. (Billboard)
Over the weekend, Jay-Z made headlines for reportedly purchasing Beyonce Christmas gifts that totaled up to 350,000.
Beyonce got some sweet gifts yesterday. Her husband, Jay-Z, was spotted shopping at Hermes' plush Madison Avenue boutique onChristmas Eve. A spy reports, "Jay was in a private room of Hermes doing last-minute shopping. He had a guard standing watch outside. He spent $350,000 on Birkin bags, among other things." The buying binge took so long, Jay-Z missed his scheduled lunch at Nello, prompting the restaurateur to deliver his food to the store. Jay-Z has plenty to spend -- he's getting $1 million to perform at the opening of the Cosmopolitan hotel and casino in Vegas on New Year's Eve. His rep declined to comment. (New York Post)

In January, they earned the right to be reckognized as the highest-earning couple in Hollywood.
Music duo Jay-Z and Beyoncé Knowles earned $122 million between June 2008 and June 2009, landing them atop the publication's annual Top-Earning Couples list in Hollywood for the second year in a row. The couple married quietly in 2008 and are responsible for everything from music ("Single Ladies" and "Empire State of Mind") to clothing lines, worldwide tours, and product endorsements (like American Express and Budweiser).
