Rapper Jay Electronica and Diddy have settled their differences after the Bad Boy impresario expressed his frustration over his friend signing to with Jay-Z's Roc Nation over the weekend.

Taking a direct approach, Jay Elect sent Diddy public Twitter messages to clear the air.

"@iamdiddy you should be more clear than that too brother. betrayal is a serious allegation. real talk," Jay wrote Monday (November 15).
"@iamdiddy and you know im gonna be me so i aint gonna be holding my tongue if you gon be out here emotional and wreckless with it."
"#WhateverHappenedTo Congratulations Blackman, i'm happy for you."
"@iamdiddy Thank you Blackman. Now Lets GO!!!!#NoBitchassness in 2011. Lets GO!!!" (Jay Electronica's Twitter)

Diddy responded and also told his 3 million followers he was not subliminally referring to Jay Elect over the weekend.

"Before we start the week off with Rumors. I am not mad at Jay Z! I'm not mad at anyone! Jz was not the friend I was referring 2 Be clear."
"Let's start the week off the right way! Spread Love people!+++energy! Take that! Hate is for chumps!! I Never Hate only Congratulate! Le go!"
"@JayElectronica I proud of you! I'm happy for you. I love you! I congratulate you' I'm not mad at you! All I wanna do is see you win! All love" (Diddy's Twitter)

Speculation over a Diddy/Jay Electronica rift developed on Saturday (November 13).

Looks like Jay Electronica signing to Roc Nation has effected his relationship with Diddy. Diddy tweeted earlier today, "D*mn it hurts in a whole other way when someone you felt mean really felt was your Friend, Betrays you. It hurts when Breathe." It is public knowledge that Diddy has courted Jay Electronica for Bad Boy Records, but never was able to lure him in. They have some recording history, with the track "The Ghost Of Christopher Wallace." Looks like Jay Z's roster is bolstered while Diddy is left just shaking his head in disbelief. (The Source)

Following the announcement, hip-hop personality Miss Info asked Jay Elect about choosing Jay-Z over Diddy.

Diddy has been mentoring and courting Jay for over a year, in the hopes of signing him as well. Electronica insists he values everything Puff contributed and hopes to have him involved in his career, but said "Jay-Z made me an offer I couldn't refuse. And I have the freedom I need too."
