[With this week's release of Miracle On Gamble Road, Bubba Sparxxx names the Top 5 reasons you need his comeback EP.]
1. The Definition Of Me
The biggest reason you need to get this project is because [I've] defined and developed [my] sound. I'm really proud of what I've been able to do. It's totally, totally different. It's hip-hop in a way that people have never heard it before. It's kind of comparable to my album Deliverance based on the stuff that was on there but it's even more refined and developed. I am really excited about this.
2. On My Bubba Sparxxx Sh*t
My second reason you need this is because I'm the sh*t. Period. I enjoy being me. I think everybody should enjoy being themselves. I think I'm the greatest "me" in the world. Everybody can be that. Everyone out there should feel like they're the best at themselves like I am.
3. A Different World
My third reason you need this is because it's totally different than anything that's on the market right now. This is different than anything else that other artists are doing. For example, the song "There I Go Again" is very blues-like and more hip-hop southern blues. It's the direction I went for and the song is really about regrets and how we all have them in life. But I also talk about overcoming those regrets and the will to keep living. So it's actually not really a depressing song, it's more of an uplifting song.
4. Top 5 Dead & Alive
The fourth reason is because I'm one of the Top 5 or Top 10, depending on where you're from and what type of hip-hop you prefer, most slept-on artists of all-time. I don't feel like I have the success that I maybe should have. I believe my album Deliverance was a hip-hop classic and a lot of people would agree. I think if we put out the album today, the market would be a little more receptive toward it, if we re-released it. People really liked that album and other stuff that I've done and I don't want it to sound like I'm here pouting but I know that the fans that I do have are still very intense.
5. Do You Still Think About Me
The fifth reason why you all need to have this EP is because I haven't released anything in a couple years. I had gone almost a year and a half without even doing music. I was working with my homeboy Polow da Don with Zone 4, taking on an executive role over there doing A&R for him. I've really been focusing more on that. It took me a while to get out of my last record label situation when I was signed to Virgin Records. It took me a little while to get over to a new situation with E1 and it really took me a long time to find this sound. The last record I put out was "Ms. New Booty" and we tried records in that same vein, recording music like that, and I finally got fed up with it. It just really wasn't who I was and what I wanted to do.
You Decide. Will you cop Miracle On Gamble Road?
