G-Unit leader 50 Cent claims that he will carry out a different approach toward his previous albums to the follow-up to 2009's Before I Self Destruct.

According to 50, he is not trying to summon collaborators to his records until the music is complete.

"I made collaborations [but] this time, I actually just wanted to create things and see if anything came out that I felt like other artists should get on," Fif explained in an interview. "My previous albums, I went in the studio with them -- this time I'm making music and then trying to find ways to put them on the records. It's more me even when it's a collaboration. It's them fitting into what I felt was right now as opposed to us making a total compromise." (Maximo TV)

Keeping fans updated, 50 has been tweeting the album's progression recently.

"I'm on some new sh*t my album is coming along get ready for a classic. http://plixi.com/p/55201814," 50 tweeted Friday (November 5) (50 Cent's Twitter).

In September, G-Unit's DJ Whoo Kid talked about 50's work ethic.

"It's been a long time. We've been waiting to put some crazy hot shit out. But we're just going with the times, transforming ourselves so we can mix in. You can't go wrong with the music we have. Even the 50 Cent leaks are crazy. The remix he did with Jeremih, that sh*t is outta here. And that's just him f*cking around. I was like, that's a real record, what are you doing right now." (VIBE)

Recently, producer Swizz Beatz shared his perception to 50's new music.

"I met up with him earlier in the day," Swizz explained about slotting studio time with Fif, Mary [J. Blige] and Busta Rhymes. "He's working on some amazing material that we're possibly collaborating on." For the most part, Swizz kept the details of his collabo with 50 on the low: "I don't want to talk too soon or too early, but it's crazy." (MTV)

50 Cent has not yet revealed a name or release date for the new album.
