I've been telling people this all the time but it's been such a big accomplishment for me working with Nicki Minaj on "Massive Attack". I've already had 17 #1 records, 42 Top 10 records, 13 Grammy nominations and four [Grammy] wins; but for us to have gotten nominated at the Video Music Awards is very, very important to me as well. It was a big win visually because me and Nicki were trying to put together something that was just a piece of [her] puzzle.

We wasn't necessarily trying to knock it out the park because we know there's so much criticism for somebody that big and when you have an artist like Nicki who has that big of a personalty, she's gotta fulfill her expectations of what she's gotta do.

Even with her "Love" record she has out, nobody expected that to take off like it did but sometimes it's just the luck of the draw. We felt "Massive Attack" was a humongous visual and obviously it paid off because we got that big Video Music Awards nomination.

Working with artists like Nicki Minaj, I'm used to different personalities artists have. I'm a veteran at this especially when working with different artists and you got some artists that are affected by the fame and you have some that aren't.

But when I get in the studio, I try to have a very humble approach to everything I do and just ensure that at the end of the day, I deliver that "bomb". I really don't get caught up in the personalities or the ways of the artist; I come out and make sure I get the job done. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters to me is that the fans feel [the track] and it turns into a hit.

Sean Garrett is an award-winning producer/rapper who has collaborated with Swizz Beatz, Young Money/Cash Money, Polow Da Don, Ludacris, Beyonce, Diddy, Drake and more.

Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday is scheduled to drop Tuesday, November 23d.
