Incarcerated rapper Lil Wayne has released a promotional video for his upcoming I Am Not A Human Being EP which shows the Young Money frontman in all-purple everything.
Over four-minutes in length, the footage landed online Wednesday (September 15) afternoon.
Lil Wayne told you that he was a martian, and he backs up the claim in the bizarre new video for his rock-tinged track "I'm Not a Human Being." Previously released as only a clip, the fluorescent full-length video shows Wayne in a purplish pink hue, rapping along to the bustling title track off his upcoming album. (Rap-Up)
According to the rapper's videographer DJ Scoob Doo, the project's videos are in safe keeping.
"I got videos for the Carter IV and the I'm not a Human Being EP all ready. I can't say the name of the song but Wayne was singing on the hook, but they're getting Drake to re-do it and it's off the Human Being EP," Scoob says. "Carter IV is probably the best album I've heard in the last decade, but Wayne is such a different artist now that wants to record new music when he comes home. The stuff he's talking about now is just on another level. That's why a lot of the songs on the EP were originally taken from the Carter IV." (VIBE)
Wayne's "Roger That" music video director David Rousseau recently informed SOHH he would be involved with the rapper's EP promotion.
"It's still kinda really being developed," Rousseau told SOHH about a pending role on Wayne's upcoming EP. "Cash Money, they're developing ideas at the time so it's really kinda under wraps right now but I know whatever it ends up being, it's going to be big. But for right now, it's still pretty much under wraps but I know they're definitely trying to come out with something big so I'm gonna be involved. Right now, we're gonna see what happens but it's still really being processed." (SOHH)
Last July, Young Money's Drake confirmed being on the upcoming EP.
"I'm on it," Drake said in an interview. "It's gonna transfer over to whatever he does. They're waiting for that new Wayne. I don't know if people are waiting for that new Drake. Thank Me Later was great -- it was phenomenal things I've never seen, like people lining up. But it might have just been the moment -- that's yet to be proven. But Wayne is just a proven artist. There's no doubt in my mind that people are waiting for that I'm Not a Human Being, that Carter IV, that Wayne and Drake album. All that!" (MTV)
Lil Wayne's I Am Not A Human Being is scheduled to drop Monday, September 27th.
