[Fall Music Preview: "Hello, Good Morning" producer Rico Love discusses Diddy's long-awaited Last Train to Paris and what stalls the project from rolling into stores.]

I know exactly why Diddy's Last Train to Paris is being delayed. Diddy is a perfectionist. I feel like he challenges himself more than any other person, besides Dr. Dre, in this business. Diddy and Dre challenge themselves so much; they feel like they can always do better.

I was just with him recently and I feel like he's really, really close [to completion]. He just has this one record he wants to have perfected and add some parts to it. He's just so much of a perfectionist that he won't stop until he feels like he has his masterpiece. It's like Picasso, you [couldn't] tell Picasso when something was ready. And I can respect that, I feel like if he puts out material [and] it's not good, everybody's gonna trash it and say, "this is bullsh*t".

I feel like you can only respect the fact that [Diddy] is taking his time to give people quality music, and I really take my hat off to him. With these types of delays, sometimes some songs may get overlooked. But I don't think that's one of my fears.

I'm happy I remained so close to the project and so I have been involved in these passionate records. Me personally, I am not concerned with records not making it onto the album and [to] anybody that is, I feel like you have to get on your job for the record. I don't feel sorry for anybody in this business, period.

At the end of the day, you got to do what you got to do and stay relevant.

Diddy's Last Train to Paris is scheduled to drop Tuesday, September 20th.
