Getting into studio mode, 50 Cent has vowed to not cut his hair until his upcoming, still-untitled album is completed.
Writing via Twitter, Fif also reflected on the post-success of his 2003 debut, Get Rich or Die Tryin'.
"My first album get rich or die trying was the greatest show on earth because people new I could die right in front of them. Its funny to me," 50 tweeted Tuesday (September 21).
"Because they were acting like they couldn't die. The biggest difference I can think of since that record is successes. To hate me is to hate"
"success. Good luck when or if you make it just know people are gonna hate you for it. This is true I try to understand what it does for them"
"Curtis not cutting hair until my album is done I'm going hard this time f*ck it. My music is crazy right now http://plixi.com/p/46422784" (50 Cent's Twitter)
This week, G-Unit's DJ Whoo Kid talked about 50's work ethic.
"It's been a long time. We've been waiting to put some crazy hot shit out. But we're just going with the times, transforming ourselves so we can mix in. You can't go wrong with the music we have. Even the 50 Cent leaks are crazy. The remix he did with Jeremih, that sh*t is outta here. And that's just him fucking around. I was like, that's a real record, what are you doing right now." (VIBE)
Recently, producer Swizz Beatz recently shared his reaction to 50's new music.
"I met up with him earlier in the day," Swizz explained about slotting studio time with Fif, Mary [J. Blige] and Busta Rhymes. "He's working on some amazing material that we're possibly collaborating on." For the most part, Swizz kept the details of his collabo with 50 on the low: "I don't want to talk too soon or too early, but it's crazy." (MTV)
Last July, 50 said he wasconsidering shelving his album (originally titled Black Magic).
"I've written the album, Black Magic, but I'm not sure if it'll be my next album," 50 said in an interview. "Since I've made it back to America, after recording in the UK and different territories while I was on the road, I started writing material that don't quite fit that concept, that album. Black Magic had a specific vibe to it, a different style of music and I was playing with different song structures, music from different genres like rock music -- since I got back, I've been writing some things that don't quite fit that because so many producers were accumulating material to send me more ideas so when I got back, I was kinda bombarded with a whole lot of production. To give you an example, Eminem's Recovery album. He had Relapse and Relapse 2 and I recorded for him on part two but because I was on tour with him during Recovery, we didn't get a chance to work together on that album but he re-wrote the album."
