G-Unit leader 50 Cent may not be following down the same footprints as newly weds Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys, but the rapper has spun a tale of love via Twitter this weekend.
Keeping his more than 3 million followers updated daily, the Unit head has talked about love and taken advantage of a sleeping Tony Yayo in the past 24 hours.
Good morning I was so high after the show last night. I got engaged I love me so, sept 6 I'm getting marriedhttp://plixi.com/p/43204419," 50 tweeted yesterday (September 5).
"Yayo caught sleeping he's going to be mad when he see this but he shouldn't have took money out my pockethttp://plixi.com/p/43217637"
"Hahahaha he snoring and shit lol sept 6http://plixi.com/p/43218402" (50 Cent's Twitter)
Earlier this week, 50 said he would take a temporary break from Twitter to work on an upcoming new album.
"Ok ladies and gentalmen I'm writing my new album. I will not be on twitter again till sept 6This album will be a classic," 50 tweeted Wednesday (August 31).
"Motherf*ckers I know how to spell gentlemanI was typing fast f*ck you. sept 6 until then b*tches suck deep and n*ggas lick the holes right." (50 Cent's Twitter)
Producer Swizz Beatz recently shared his reaction to 50's new music.
"I met up with him earlier in the day," Swizz explained about slotting studio time with Fif, Mary [J. Blige] and Busta Rhymes. "He's working on some amazing material that we're possibly collaborating on." For the most part, Swizz kept the details of his collabo with 50 on the low: "I don't want to talk too soon or too early, but it's crazy." (MTV)
Last July, 50 said he was considering shelving his originally titled Black Magic album.
"I've written the album, Black Magic, but I'm not sure if it'll be my next album," 50 said in an interview. "Since I've made it back to America, after recording in the UK and different territories while I was on the road, I started writing material that don't quite fit that concept, that album. Black Magic had a specific vibe to it, a different style of music and I was playing with different song structures, music from different genres like rock music -- since I got back, I've been writing some things that don't quite fit that because so many producers were accumulating material to send me more ideas so when I got back, I was kinda bombarded with a whole lot of production. To give you an example, Eminem's Recovery album. He had Relapse and Relapse 2 and I recorded for him on part two but because I was on tour with him during Recovery, we didn't get a chance to work together on that album but he re-wrote the album."
