Young Money's Nicki Minaj has unveiled a 20-year power plan which includes going through a massive hairstyle change, switching up her image and taking on television writing.
Despite being known for fancy outfits and a strong shoe game, Minaj said she would not mind being "regular" like her peers.
"I'd like to be able to come out in jeans and slippers. The world has seen all my crazy antics, so now I'm ready to be a regular person...I like to experiment with hair and makeup, so maybe I'll just shave my whole hair bald...I know right now she has no idea who I am, but I'd like to collab with Enya one day. Of course I'd love to work with Jay-Z, maybe even Phil Collins. I love his voice." (VIBE)
The rapper also envisions herself helping younger generations.
"When I was little I would've loved to go to dance class, but my mother couldn't afford it. I want to get some real top-notch buildings and teachers to help kids sing, play instruments and dance. And I want to do things in Trinidad and Africa...I'd write a sketch comedy, 'Nicki Minaj Presents: Curb Your Enthusiasm.' I'd star in it with my best friend and Larry David because he makes me cry laughing. I love dry humor." (VIBE)
Before launching her 20-year plan, the rapper will first put out an upcoming debut album called Pink Friday.
"I want to be able to change. I respect people that love '07 Nicki, and I'm definitely going to give you some stuff on 'Pink Friday,' I won't forget anybody. But I have to be true to me -- I started seeing different things, going to different places, eating different things. It would be fraudulent to rap the same way and look the same way, because I'm not the same. Period." (Singersroom)
Recently, Minaj said the debut has even surpassed her own expectations.
"The album is progressing miraculously, I would say," Minaj said in an interview. "It's coming out way better than I could even have imagined or dreamed or hoped for...It's been very exciting to finally just make music that I love and not really having to incorporate myself on someone else's record...I've been having a really great time...I have a record called 'Right Through Me' that I think will be a standout. It's not gonna come right now. It'll come closer to when the album drops, but it's a really, really pretty song. Everyone's gonna like it...It's just really insightful but in a very conversational kind of way." (MTV)
