Wu-Tang Clan's Method Man reportedly sustained an injury to his face last weekend after a fan threw an object at him during his Gathering of the Juggalos concert in Illinois.

Details on what exactly went down last Saturday hit the Internet today (August 17).

Method Man was attacked with a dangerous projectile ... and TMZ has obtained the photos of his bloody face. According to an eyewitness, Method Man and Redman were performing at the festival Sunday night when someone in the audience threw what looked like "a full beer can" at MM's face -- resulting in a pretty nasty eye wound. In our video, shot moments after the incident, Redman throws expletives at the crowd before telling Method, "Your face is cut, go take care of that." But MM refuses to stop the show -- bloody eye and all -- and yells out, "Start the music we're continuing the show, let's f**k these motherf**kers up. (TMZ)

At the same event, singer/reality star Tila Tequila was also attacked.

Tila had barley taken the stage when people in the audience started throwing items at her. Tila was left with cuts and bruises all over her face, see the photos of her injuries here. As she screamed to the rowdy crowd "I ain't going nowhere!", she tried to go on singing but the crowd was not having it. It took several bodyguards to stand in front of the petite Tila to block her but she just continued singing behind her wall of human protectors. Apparently comedian Tom Green got on the stage to try and help calm down the crowd, but it didn't work! Eventually she exited the stage and evaluated her injuries, she was in shock at everything that had gone on. (Right Celebrity)

Following the incident, the singer released a statement discussing what took place.

"I went onstage and immediately, before I even got on stage, DUDES were throwing HUGE STONE ROCKS in my face, beer bottles that slit my eye open, almost burnt my hair on fire cuz they threw fire crackers on stage. These people were trying to kill me. It was scary as h*ll!" (Statement)

Legal action on behalf of Tila is expected to go into motion.

Her lawyer is preparing to sue the festival, which is organized for fans of the hip-hop group Insane Clown Posse. Festival organizers did not respond to CNN requests for a response. This was the event's 11th year, the fourth in rural Hardin County, Illinois. Cuts on the Playboy model and singer's face required stitches. And her body is covered with bruises, she said. (CNN)
