Drake has wasted no time in defending his Young Money labelmate Nicki Minaj by responding to recent verbal jabs from Lil Kim and Ray J.
Speaking from a Connecticut venue, Drake stood by Minaj's side and professed her stance in the rap game.
"I know you be calling women b*tches in sh*t but I can't say you the baddest b*tch. I can't do that because I respect you, I love you too much and you look too beautiful. So I just wanna say you the baddest WOMAN to do this rap sh*t. I don't give a f*ck what Lil' Kim or nobody else is talkin about, you're the baddest chick to ever do this sh*t! " Nicki turned around laughing, then came back and hugged him. He told her "I love you." Then he left the stage. (Necole Bitchie)
Earlier this week, Minaj wrote a subliminal response via Twitter.
"Raise ya hand if u don't have 2 diss ppl to feel better about urself. Jealousy is a disease. It kills @ a fast pace. Kisses 2 my bad b*tches" (Nicki Minaj's Twitter)
Recently, Ray J and Kim called out Minaj during a concert.
Ray J took a moment to express his feelings on females in rap, primarily Nicki Minaj. "I'm seeing a lot of Lil Kim imposters," Ray J stated. "I'm not saying no names, but you know who," he continued, referencing biting Kim's style after calling Kim the greatest female rapper ever. Lil Kim added, "We love her. We just want her to pay homage," making an obvious reference to Minaj. "If you don't pay homage then f*ck you," she concluded. (Hip Hop DX)
Earlier this week, Kim also referenced Minaj at a separate Buffalo, New York concert.
During her performance Kim threw off her blonde wig saying she's above this, while throwing her blonde wig into the crowd. LilKim is a legend, and LEGENDS don't diss babies, she's the Queen B for crying out loud. Honestly the last thing we need is beef between Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj. Does Lil Kim need to dust of her Biggie records? "F*ck that beef sh*t! That sh*t is played out" (Global Grind)
In the concert footage, Kim raps a verse from her "Crush On You" hit before tossing her wig out to the crowd.
"I'm going to another level," she told the fans. "I love the wigs and everything but I'm so above this. I'm so above this...I'll be back!" (YouTube)
