Former Roc-A-Fella artist Beanie Sigel claims a possible G-Unit deal may still be on the table after hinting at plans to do business with 50 Cent.
Speaking in a recent interview, Sigel showed signs his relationship with Fif is still in tact.
"And I ain't get no check from 50 yet," Sigel said referring to his recent connection to 50 Cent. "So don't think, 'Oh, 50 must have gave him that money.' He's overseas. I mean, right now they on tour, I mean they overseas on tour right now doing their thing so I'm just waiting for them to come over and we can finalize the business situation that we doing." Last November, Sigel spoke about parting ways with Jay-Z and finding new life under 50's wing.
"I ain't on G-Unit yet," Beanie explained in an interview. "Nah. I feel free, I feel more tension right now, you know what I mean? I feel good. I'm just gonna go out and do my thing, you know what I mean? I'm here for support, I'm here to support, that's it...I really don't care what Jay's doing, like, it ain't about what he's doing, it's about what he had done. You can't just do anything you want, I'm the bully n*gga. I do whatever the f*ck I wanna do." (All Hip Hop)
50 had previously stopped early talks of Beans being signed to G-Unit last fall.
"I had a meeting with him today," 50 said referring to Beans. "First we gotta start with the music -- where's the music? Then we have to get into what it would take to bring him over to G-Unit as a record company. You can't sign a deal in a conversation -- it's a process. We'll see what happens. I would listen to what he has. His skills haven't diminished. Nine times out of 10, he'll have something workable already on deck. When you're dealing with artists who have been established longer than you, it's a process. You have to figure out exactly where they are at before you commit to being a part of those projects, because they have habits and they've been conditioned for something different. You have to figure out exactly what that is before you dive in." (MTV)
G-Unit members Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks also said they were unaware if Sigel would be recruited to the team last fall.
"Ah man, I don't know the ends and outs on that, you know what I mean" Banks admitted in an interview. "[Yayo] will tell you what it is, ask him. [laughs] You're trying to get us to spill beans. We don't know! Shout-out to Beanie Sigel, you know, shout-out to Freeway, all my Philly heads." (The Life Files)
