Southern rapper Paul Wall has teamed with rocker Travis Barker for his upcoming Heart of a Champion album.

According to reports, Barker will produce half of Wall's fourth solo project.

Fresh off a month-long tour with former partner-in-rhyme, Chamillionaire, Houston rapper, Paul Wall, is all set to drop his 4th major label album, Heart of a Champion, on June 29th through Swisha House/Asylum Records. Almost half of the tracks featured on the album are produced by long-time friend and Expensive Taste band-mate, Travis Barker. The album will also feature several songs from Expensive Taste, the group which includes Skinhead Rob (Transplants) in addition to Paul and Travis. (Press Release)

Wall will also feature a variety of guest appearances on the album.

Feature duties for "Heart of a Champion" include a diverse list of cast members including Jim Jones, Yelawolf and Raekwon but do not ignore Paul's Houston roots; Bun B, Chamillionaire, Slim Thug, Devin the Dude and Lil' Keke each get their turn at the mic. Another Houston feature is Johnny Dang aka TV Johnny with whom Paul Wall shares a grills and jewelry business which caters to A-list celebrities and average Joes alike. (Press Release)

Aside from his project, Wall recently reunited with his former associate, Chamillionaire, for a rap tour.

"It's official @chamillionaire & @paulwallbaby are going on tour together. ITS GOIN ALL THE WAY DOWN," he wrote referring to hitting the road alongside fellow Texan Paul Wall earlier this year. "Just finished signing the first 1,000 MAJOR PAIN cds. Me and my bright ideas. I'm guessing that 75% of my followers have Susan Boyle & Mariah Carey albums considering how many albums they are selling." (Chamillionaire's Twitter)

Last year, the Texas rapper talked with SOHH about his dental grills business.

"Oh yeah it's definitely been slow. All around the mall stores are closing down. One thing though, sports and entertainment are still thriving so there's still movie stars and athletes. They still got two commas coming on their pay check everytime so they come up in the mall and ball out like it ain't a recession. So we get to receive those benefits here and there." (SOHH)
