R&B singer Solange Knowles has questioned why her sister, Beyonce, did not receive as much attention as she expected after cleaning up at the Grammys.
Writing via her popular Twitter account, Solange publicly shared her rant.
"Im sorry but i'm having another kanye rant moment. My sister BROKE THE RECORD for the MOST GRAMMY'S IN ONE NIGHT BY ANY FEMALE," she wrote Monday (February 1) night. "so why do i KEEP seeing "other artist" as the Nights "big winner"....(*kanye shrug here) ???? Wowzers 2 some responses. Good darnit......im glad folks agree. Ok. On to the next one:)" (Solange Knowles' Twitter)
Beyonce made history as being the first woman to receive the most Grammy wins in one night.
Beyonce Knowles can consider herself a history-maker - the most successful female musician in the annals of the Grammys. On January 31, Knowles won six Grammy awards out of the 10 she'd been nominated for. Her wins were in the categories of Best R&B Song, Best Contemporary R&B Album, Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Song of the Year. During her acceptance speech, Beyonce thanked the support of her longtime fans.
"Thank you so much. This has been such an amazing night for me and I'd love to thank the Grammys," Beyonce said in her brief remarks. "I'd like to thank all of the fans for their support over the years." (Grammys 2010)
Aside from music, the singer's husband/rapper, Jay-Z, recently spoke on their relationship and having kids in the future.
"I'd like to be a dad some day and I love children. You start your life with expectations and dreams, then life unfolds and it doesn't always turn out the way you imagined. Life is what it is. And at this point it's up to somebody else. I don't think there is such thing as a perfect relationship. It is unrealistic and hoping for too much. I don't think it is worth all that pressure. We also have our struggles and problems." (Kingsize Magazine)
