Rap mogul Jay-Z has reportedly given his official co-sign on music newcomer Susan Boyle and suggested the former reality television star make a run in the clothing business.
According to Young Hov, Boyle represents a vast majority of women.
"What Susan's achieved is unbelievable. Everybody wants a piece of her and the market for her is huge. I could see her with her own clothing range. Sure, why not? She'll appeal to women of a certain age. They'll see an ordinary person who made the best of herself. It'll give them hope." (News of the World)
50 Cent recently shared his admiration for Boyle as an artist.
"Nobody really knows him," Fif said about Joey. "I'm mad that you're mentioning his name. When's the last time Fat Joe was on your show? [Never], see. And this is why I feel like, he's using me, he's using me, Craig. I feel like I'm on his [radar]. There's almost as much pirated music as there is legitimate music out there. We got really tough competition, now the competition is Susan Boyle. It's worth a shot [starting a feud with her.] [laughs] We'll be places and they'll be like, 'You know 50? He's looking for you.' I probably would [collaborate] with her. I think it's the age, when you're like 48, 50 years-old, those people in that age group are still conditioned to purchase a CD. The younger kids are on a computer, you know that." ("The Late Late Show")
Last December, Fif expressed his interest in recording with Boyle.
"Susan Boyle is hot right now." Fif told the Mirror. "I got to get her on a track, for real. We'd make a hit. Everyone is talking about her, the lady from 'Britain's Got Talent.' I'm always looking to do something new and she's cool, so I'll ask somebody to let her know. I'd love to take her clubbing, show her around my world. She'd have a great time." (Angry Ape)
Rapper Snoop Dogg has also shown his admiration toward the Scottish hitmaker.
"I told Susan Boyle, 'When you put your record out,' when she sells a few records, come holler at me," Snoop told radio host Chelsea Lately. "We can do a song together. Yeah [I'm a fan] because she was close to getting my record. You know I hold the record in the Guiness Book, I'm the only rapper to come out and debut number one and she was trying to get close to my record so I had to make sure she didn't. Yeah, I like her because she didn't get my record. If you set the studio session up, I'll do that." ("Chelsea Lately")
