Terror Squad leader Fat Joe has hinted at R&B singer Trey Songz being linked to his forthcoming Darkside album and promised to make "magic" with the performer.

Writing via Twitter, Joey Crack revealed his association with Trey.

"Just got to the studio," Joe wrote Friday (February 5) night. "I got my homie Trey Songz with me we about to make some magic 2nite CRACK!!!!! I aint stoppppingggg." (Fat Joe's Twitter)

Songz's profile has continued to grow as of late and replaced rap veteran Nate Dogg at last fall's Hip Hop Honors 2009 performance with Warren G.

"It was great working with Trey Songz," Warren told SOHH last September. "He's a very talented R&B cat, I really love his work and I mean, he came and nailed the parts, Nate's parts...VH1 hit me and was like, 'Who would you like to do the song with you' and I was like, 'Trey Songz.' And the reason why is because I like this record that he got out with Drake, 'I just wanna be successful.' And I love the hook. And you know, I met him, he came, we rehearsed, he's a real humble cool dude. And we gonna work in the future. Actually, I'm gonna see him in a couple days when I get back to LA, I'm gonna try to get in the studio and record something with him." (SOHH)

Currently attached to Jay-Z's Blueprint III tour, Trigger Trey recently said fans could expect a collaboration with Hov and Young Jeezy.

"The way Jay explained it to me, he wanted to give people the best show possible," Songz said in an interview about the tour. "They could have easily done it by themselves and it'd be great. But [Jay] wanted to give the best show. All of us bring a separate aspect to the table, making it a great show all the way. I'm there for the ladies, of course. Then I bring an R&B soul vibe and my hip-hop. Jeezy got the streets. And Hov is Hov. It's definitely all in the talks [as far as collaborations.] It's the Mob Squad. Me, Jay, Jeezy, we plan on working together while we on this tour because the energy we have together when we get around each other is amazing. And like I said, all aspects like that on a record is amazing. Maybe while we out on the road we get it done." (MTV)

Crack announced his upcoming album's first single last week.

"Congratulations Welcome to THE DARK SIDE!! The first single off my new album ft. Young Jeezy HAHA(Slow Down Son) YA ALL WELCOME!!!!," he wrote Thursday (February 4). "Here is the Clean Here is the dirty link again it I TOLD YA I WAS COMING WITH THAT MONSTER JOINT WELCOME TO THE DARK SIDE!!!!! CRACK @Scoopdeville My brother that beat is a monster you see what me and jeezy did to that thing there !!!!!" (Fat Joe's Twitter)
