News: E-40 Emerges From The Shadows, Plans To Drop 2 Albums On Same Day

West Coast rapper E-40 has announced plans to make his comeback by releasing two albums next month.
Speaking via a statement, 40 explained the importance behind his album move.
E-40's ripping a page out of Nelly's play book and dropping two albums Revenue Retrievin' Night Shift and Revenue Retrievin' Day Shift on the same day (March 30). "I'm excited about this album; it's been a year since I dropped The Ball Street Journal," he said in a statement. "It marks an important independent business venture for me. This way, I am able to go back to the basics and run my own campaign." Gotta respect that. (Rap Radar)
Lupe Fiasco recently hinted at possibly dropping two albums for 2010.
"I might do that this year too," Lupe said about releasing two albums for 2010. "FYI, maybe, maybe. If there's room. We'll see. We'll see. But even with that, I try not to rush because there's trends and you might get hyped up -- but before you know it, that trend has worn off and you look like the old dude...I think there's some people that sold a lot of records that kinda burned their candle at both ends...['I'm Beaming,'] just like it is with all my music, it's official now...It leaked out, so we had to chase it. It wasn't meant to be the first single, but it's the first look produced by The Neptunes -- it's actually the first record on the album." ("Toca Tuesdays")
Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon has also announced plans to release two LP's this year.

40 previously highlighted his last album with various guest features.
"I got the boy Akon on that motherf*cker," 40 said. "T-Pain back on there again. I got Too [Short]. I got that boy Shawty Lo. I got Bun B. I got Gucci Mane. I got a West Coast classic that I think they're gonna f*ck with real tough," he added. "Me and Snoop [Dogg] and Game finally came together and did a song produced by J.R. Rotem. It's a smacker."
