Grammy-winning singer Alicia Keys has been announced as one of many singers selected to perform at this month's NBA (National Basketball Association) All-Star Game in Texas.

According to reports, pop stars Usher and Shakira will also be on-hand to perform their own respective hits.

Shakira will perform her current single. Alicia Keys will perform the oldie but goodie, "No One," as well as two singles from her new album: "Empire State of Mind" and "Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart." The halftime show will take place at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Usher will sing his single, "More" and also treat fans with a rendition of his high-energy single, "Yeah," from 2004's Confessions. (Billboard)

Keys and Jay-Z performed "Empire State of Mind" at last November's American Music Awards (AMAs).

After the intro, Keys was on the main stage, accompanying herself on the piano while she sang "New York, New York," the classic made world-famous by Frank Sinatra. Meanwhile, the man who says he's the the modern-day version of Ol' Blue Eyes leaned on the piano, wearing a white tux jacket, black pants, a bow tie and sunglasses. After a few moments, the beat for "Empire State of Mind" kicked in and most of the audience rose to their feet. Mary J. Blige, Perez Hilton, Whitney Houston and many others were seen dancing in the audience. "Concrete jungle where dreams are made ..." (MTV)

Jay-Z previously spoke on performing "Empire State of Mind" with Keys during the Major League Baseball (MLB) World Series last October.

"The moment at Yankee stadium for me, as a kid growing up in Brooklyn, I'm still high off of that," Jay explained in an interview. "But right after that, we got a police escort right to the airport and took a plane straight out...I felt like a kid, the field is beautiful, I never been that close to the field, walking around. I jumped over the center field fence like I was catching a homerun." ("Mike & Mike In The Morning")

The couple's "Empire" music video paid homage to their hometown.

Two photos taken from the shooting location of Jay-Z's music video for his single "Empire State of Mind" have surfaced. Jay-Z is captured donning an all-black outfit with a crowd surrounding him. The video reportedly was shot in Tribeca near the World Trade Center site, Ground Zero. Though his collaborator Alicia Keys is said to share screen with him, she is not seen in the on-set pics.
