News: T-Pain Announces Upcoming Tour, Announces Dance Jam Contest

Grammy-winning singer T-Pain has announced plans to launch a nationwide dance contest to help find the ideal performers for an upcoming tour.

According to reports, the contest will take place on

T-Pain, has partnered with Dance Jam to launch his "Blood, Sweat and Dance" contest to search for new dancers to go on his upcoming tour. Starting today, dancers across the nation can upload their best dance videos on for their chance to go on a world tour with him. For the contest, T-Pain is in search of one male and two female dancers who have what it takes to tour around the world to promote his upcoming album, "rEVOLVEr". The contest ends on February 16 and the winners will be announced on February 22. Skee.TV will be responsible for the overall creative direction of the site, including all day-to-day operations of the site, overseeing all content, featuring and reviewing videos and managing the site community. Pain has also confirmed the partnership with Skee.TV.

"I wanted to find some fresh dancers for my upcoming tour, but not through the usual channels. This time I wanted to do an open call for anyone and everyone to submit videos and was the obvious choice to partner up with," said T-Pain. (Statement)

Specific requirements for the contest have been revealed.

All contestants much have a valid, up-to-date passport, have no criminal history, be over 18 years of age (by February 25th, 2010), be ready to rehearse immediately after finish of contest and be available to tour for next 18 months. (Dance Jam)

Besides his own music, Pain previously promised to drop a collaboration album with Lil Wayne.

Well, according to T-Pain, the duo have managed to knock out a solid block of tracks so far. That's progress. "We got 12 songs right now," Pain said in an interview. "We going slow, there's no rush. It can come out whenever. We're gonna keep it pushing, however. It's gonna be pushed." (MTV)
