Grammy-winning singer Rihanna is reportedly putting together a new book set to be released by next summer.
While details are still scarce, the publish date is set for June.
Rihanna is writing a book - but it's not the tell-all we've been waiting for. The songstress is teaming up with Simon Henwood, the creative director for her Rated R tour, to pen a photo-heavy tome due out on June 29. The 144-page spread will feature steamy pictures of Ri Ri, which, for $38, can be all yours. (Huffington Post)
Additional reports suggests a title has already been selected.
Rihanna "The Last Girl on Earth" written by Rihanna with contribution from Simon Henwood. With a format set to hardcover, the book is being categorized as "Music - Popular." And if you're wondering who Simon Henwood is, he is working on the campaign of Rihanna's 4th album, Rated R. Fellow R&B singer R. Kelly is also penning an upcoming memoir.
R. Kelly is writing more chapters, only this time, it's not for his "Trapped" saga, but for a new memoir. The 42-year-old singer, writer and producer says in a statement issued Wednesday that he is working on an autobiography with David Ritz that will "tell it like it is." The autobiography is untitled right now, just like his new CD. It's scheduled for release by Tavis Smiley's SmileyBooks in 2011. (Associated Press)
Last summer, reports of rapper Q-Tip inking a book called Industry Rules spread online.
He has signed on the dotted line with Ballantine Books for an unexpected memoir. Titled Industry Rules, Q-Tip is expected to carefully construct his life story that includes growing up in Queens, his rise and fall with A Tribe Called Quest and subsequent solo success thereafter. The book, also in cooperation Random House Publishing Group, which owns Ballatine Books, was sold recently and according to a release is "a creatively constructed telling of his life story".
