West Coast rapper Game has confronted recent speculation of being romantically involved with former Murder Inc. nemesis Ashanti.
According to Game, Ashanti has been hitting the recording studio with him and Dr. Dre as of late.
"No, no man," Game said about a romantic relationship with the singer. "Ashanti came by the studio and worked with me and Dre the other day. She's real cool and that was it. And they took a picture of me and Dre and Ashanti and put it on the net and that's how rumors start. But it's those Media Take Out people, what is that? TMZ.com, my homepage." (TMZ)
Reports last week suggested Game and Ashanti were dating.
MediaTakeOut.com just learned, from an EXTREMELY reliable source, that something is going on between R&B singer ASHANT and rapper THE GAME. According to our snitch, Game is helping Ashanti with her new album. But when the two were together in the studio, they couldn't stop flirting with each other. The insider told MediaTakeOut.com, "I think something's going on." Time will tell . . .but that's a good look for Ashanti . . (Media Take Out)
Shanti broke the news of recording music with Game and Dre through her Twitter page.
"On the way 2 the lab!!! flyin dwn santa monica I think we took like 3 red lights lol!!! ( U guys dnt do tht tho) lol!!!," she wrote Wednesday (January 27). "@only1NOTTZ heyyyyyy!!!!! Wz crackin!! Last year, Ashanti reunited with her former Murder Inc. labelmate Ja Rule for a VH1 Hip Hop Honors 2009 performance.
"It's been great," she said in an interview. "I haven't performed with Ja since -- I can't even remember it's been so long. We talked to each other on the phone and we said, 'Yo, we gonna make it hot! It's gonna be like old times.' It feels good. When we did the rehearsal, the chemistry was there." (MTV)
