Pleasure P, an ex-member of R&B group Pretty Ricky, has detailed recent accusations implicating his involvement in an alleged child molestation case.
Explaining the seriousness of the accusations, P told radio veteran Ed Lover that he has left the R. Kelly tour to address the matter.
"It actually came from a no-face blogger, a person that don't exist on the internet," he told the host. "A person who won't show their face just decided 'I'm going to put out some false information about Mr. Pleasure P.' We dealing with it right now. I took off the R. Kelly tour just to deal with this issue. It's a very serious matter and it could happen to anybody. It could happen to you. That a person put something out there like that and people actually believing it." "You gotta look at it this way," Pleasure P's lawyer added, "How do you defend yourself against a lie on the internet? It's virtually impossible. The only thing that this unnamed person has come forward with are these documents and if you look at them they don't make sense. They are cobbled together." (Necole Bitchie)
Writing via his PleasurePMusic.com website last week, the singer struck back at the gossip.
"All of the recent rumors and accusations that are being circulated about me are 100% false.," he wrote Thursday (December 3) afternoon. "They are disgusting and vile; and they are being spread by individuals with their own sick agendas. The purported documents that are also being circulated are forgeries. I have never met or known anyone by the name of "AGoldstein" or Laura Goldstein or Ashley Goldstein, which I believe are fictitious names. I have never been represented by an attorney named Goldstein. For someone to go to such depths to assassinate my character and slander my good name is truly criminal. My attorneys are investigating this matter and will take all necessary and appropriate action to protect my name and reputation." (Pleasure P Music)
Allegedly, a family member of one of the singer's attorneys has also been discussing the matter on Twitter.
The daughter of Pleasure P's lawyer is now coming out on Twitter to reveal what she says is the truth about the R&B star. She says that he molested several children, including a 3-year old boy and a 4-year old girl who are his niece and nephew. This is the Twitter page of the woman who is speaking out against Pleasure P. Why is she speaking? Because apparently Pleasure P is very behind on his lawyer bills. (Gather)
Reports began to take over the Internet late Wednesday (December 2) evening.
The Wednesday night announcement of Pleasure P's nomination for best male R&B performance was overshadowed by rumors that he has a history of child molestation and was fired from his former band, Pretty Ricky, for that reason. The singer, born Marcus Cooper, is being targeted on Twitter by a woman who claims to be his attorney's daughter. (Examiner)
