A contestant from the first season of VH1's "For the Love of Ray J" was reportedly taken in on a 5150 psychiatric hold earlier this month as a result of postpartum depression.

New reports claim Monica Danger was taken into a California hospital in early December.

Apparently, the reality star had a bad case of postpartum depression, resulting in some personal problems. As a result, she spent a week in a psychiatric hospital in Northern California. (Bossip)

A rep for the reality TV star has confirmed the reports.

TMZ spoke with Danger's rep, who told us the reality star had some personal issues as a result of postpartum depression and spent a week in a psychiatric hospital in Northern California. We're told people close to Danger became concerned when she suddenly shaved off her hair -- a la Britney -- after an argument with her baby's father. But Danger's rep tells us she's now out of the hospital and doing "fine" adding, "At this time we ask all of Danger's fans for support and prayer." (TMZ)

She was rumored to be carrying R&B singer Ray J's child during the show's first season.

Danger, who was portrayed on the show as being a bit intense, reportedly shaved off her hair after an argument with her baby's father recently. Her rep explains that she has been suffering from postpartum depression, which triggered some personal problems. Danger is now at home after spending a week in a Northern California psychiatric hospital. "At this time we ask all of Danger's fans for support and prayer," her rep told TMZ. (Reality TV)
