DJ Khaled recently spoke up for his associate Rick Ross and said the rapper should be considered one of the "biggest" emcees in today's rap game.

Khaled also said Ross' Deeper Than Rap follow-up is on deck.

"Shout out to my Def Jam team, I co-executive [produced] Deeper Than Rap [and] A&Red Deeper Than Rap," he said in an interview. "Ross is one of my favorite artists as well as my friend, and that's a classic! Rick Ross is one of the biggest rappers in the game, hands down. We're working on a new album called Teflon Don. That's gonna hurt the game." (XXL Mag)

Ross recently spoke on his album not earning a Grammy nomination.

Ross responded on Thursday (December 10) via an unofficial remix of Beyonce's "Video Phone." Over the track, he begins: "My paint wet, I ride slow/ The girls sweat, while my AC cold/ Stand-up guy, but my top fold." A few bars later, he gets into his Grammy omission. "What I think bout the Grammys? I think they all haters," he declares. "What they all think bout the album?/ They think it's amazing/ What I think about the album?/ I think I'm the greatest." (MTV)

Ross also updated fans on the status of his upcoming joint The H album alongside Birdman and said fans could expect to see a movie accompany the project.

"We gonna let that [album] go next year," Ross promised in an interview. "The whole concept behind it was we wanted to do different so and do a movie. Taking the movie process is a whole lot longer than the music, so we've just been leaking records here now just to let 'em know it's coming. But we actually start filming at the very end of this year." (Hip Hop Official)

Baby previously said the album was completed.

Plans are still on the table for a Birdman and Rick Ross album. The rappers' collaborative effort is in the bag and just waiting a release date. "Ross and I finished the album already. It's called The H," Birdman revealed to Rap-Up.com. "We'll probably put it out in the summer." The Cash Money Records CEO has a lot of admiration for his fellow paper chaser, who's currently promoting his group Triple C's debut Custom Cars & Cycles. "I respect Ross. He gets money and his music is hot." (Rap-Up)
