Rap mogul Diddy has decided to once again provide New York City pedestrians free cab and subway service on New Year's Eve.
Diddy will also promote the program to people in Las Vegas.
After a successful run last year, the music mogul has teamed up with Ciroc Vodka for another Safe Rides program, which provides transportation in New York for those hammered after celebrating New Years Eve. For the first time, the program is being offered in Las Vegas. (VIBE)
The Bad Boy Records executive also spoke on the importance of featuring Vegas and the Big Apple this year.
"New York stands as the world's icon for a New Year's Eve celebration and Las Vegas is the biggest party destination in the country," Combs said in a statement. "By bringing this program to both of these great cities we will continue to show the rest of the country that a sophisticated holiday celebration doesn't end when the ball drops, but when everyone gets home safely." The passes will be given out on New Year's Eve this Thursday (December 31) in two forms.
For the second year, the music mogul is sponsoring the distribution of thousands of $15 vouchers for cab rides, along with $2.25 MetroCards. The goodies will be handed out from 8 to 11 p.m. on Thursday around Chelsea and the Meatpacking District as a promotion for CIROC Vodka, which Combs represents. (AM New York)
Last year, Diddy aimed to donate $1 million to change the appearance of New York's iconic New Year's Eve ball.
Diddy and CIROC aim to alter the ball's historic look by making it reflect the vodka's blue sphere and they are willing to donate $1 million to a charity on behalf of the Big Apple if the proposal is granted. (SOHH)
