Less than 24 hours after reports surfaced alleging Lil Kim of stiffing United Kingdom club promoters for $20,000, the Queen B has responded saying she never received money from them.
Speaking via a statement, Kim defended herself in light of these accustations.
"We do not have a contract with Abstrakt Visions Entertainment and never received any money from them," stated Kim's spokesperson. "Abstrakt Visions Entertainment is in the wrong for falsely promoting Lil Kim in London and will be dealt with accordingly. This matter is in the hands of our legal team." (All Hip Hop)
Reports on the conflict landed online Thursday (November 12) morning.
Lil Kim is allegedly one of the biggest flakes on Planet Earth. We're told she recently bailed on six gigs after pocketing her $20,000 fee ... then blamed it all on a nosebleed! We're told a company called Abstrakt Visions Entertainment paid Kim $20,000 up front to make six club appearances in London between November 7 - 14. (TMZ)
Her missed appearances were rumored to be on account of a nose bleed.
The 34 year-old then jetted back to the U.S., leaving the company without a star guest - and now bosses at Abstrakt Visions Entertainment are considering suing the star. Nonetheless, Lil' Kim's rep has defended her client's actions, alleging the real reason she pulled out of the appearances was because of the promoters' poor planning - insisting they failed to give her a proper schedule. Aside from the possible lawsuit, Kim recently hinted at plans to begin recording an album again.
"Album should be out in a few months," Kim said in an interview at the pre-BET Awards show over the summer. "We don't have a set date yet but the song 'Down Low' is featuring T-Pain and Charlie Wilson is doing very well and I'm excited about that 'cause it's been a long time since I made my rounds. But I got another song that's with a producer named Detail, he's a Konvict Music producer and I love this song. I can't tell y'all the name yet 'cause it might be the next single but just know that this album, I'm feeling real sexy and nasty y'all, so it's gonna be an upgrade of Hardcore." (EZ Street Show)
