Maino's "Let's Make A Movie" music video debut will reportedly follow Eminem's "3 AM" marketing strategy this weekend when he premieres it on Cinemax.
The video will debut prior to the network's premiere of the late Biggie Smalls biopic Notorious.
"Brooklyn's Finest are in the house for 2 premieres," a teaser trailer for the music video reads. "At 10pm we've got the premiere of Notorious. Before Notorious, catch out exclusive world premiere video from Brooklyn's own Maino. 'Let's Make A Movie.' Strip club? Check! Champagne and video camera? Check! Hot girls making out? Huh, so much for 'No sex in the champagne room'" (Cinemax)
Em's "3 AM" video led up to the network's debut of the horror-based film The Strangers last May.
In a first for the network, Cinemax exclusively debuts the latest, never before seen, uncensored music video from rap star Eminem, on Saturday, May 2 at 10pm ET/PT. The music video for 3 a.m., the third track to be released from Eminem's forthcoming album, Relapse, was directed by Syndrome. The video will air just prior to Cinemax's Saturday night pay television premiere of the horror film, The Strangers, starring Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman and will continue to air on the network throughout the month of May. Aside from the premiere, Maino is preparing for a tribute concert in honor of slain Fat Joe associate Mike Beck.
Organized by Littles and presented by Maino, rap artists such as Grafh, Hell Rell, Saigon, Uncle Murda and Cadillac Tah are just a few to name set to perform. The first line up of artists have been selected to perform, due to their upbringing and loyal street following. Before the performances kick off, special invited speakers are set to talk to the audience about the violence we are facing in all inner city communities and what we can do to help put the violence to an end. The hosts for the evening will be Hot 97 DJ Kay Slay the Drama King alongside FuseTV radio personality Dee Vazquez and Hot 97 morning personality K. Foxx. This event will take place on Monday November 23, 2009 at the fabulous Imperial night club in NYC. (Press Release)
The rapper recently released a statement on the event and described the importance of bringing New York emcees together in Beck's honor.
"Mike Beck was a good friend of mine and I don't have too many people in my life I consider friends," Maino said in a statement. "This event is put in place to help send Mike Beck's son to college because he's not here to do it anymore. It's all about coming together in good and bad times and I would want someone to do something like this for me if I was in this position." (Statement)
Maino's "Let's Make A Movie" will debut Saturday, November 21st at 9:55 PM on Cinemax.
