Today, Jay-Z joined thousands of fans as the New York Yankees took to the streets for their World Series Championship parade throughout the Big Apple.

Hov was spotted riding alongside Yankees' slugger Alex Rodriguez.

Crowds roared and church bells rang in lower Manhattan on Friday as the Yankees' World Series championship celebration revved up with a ticker-tape parade. As the players on floats made their way through Wall Street toward City Hall Plaza, a loud roar rose above Broadway and confetti rained down on the parade. Revelers arrived early Friday to get a good spot along the route though many were forced to pack surrounding streets. Governor David Paterson and rapper Jay-Z were among those in the parade. After the players arrive at City Hall Plaza, Mayor Michael Bloomberg will give them the keys to the city. (Associated Press)

Hip-Hop personality Miss Info also shared her thoughts on event.

"why is A-Rod standing on the side in VIP with Jay-Z instead of on the float with the rest of the Yankees? now A-Rod and Jay-Z are on their own float, lol....go team? Ah! Actually makes sense for parade-goers RT @BLUEMAGIC_GRIND Arod in vip cuz each yankee get on one by one so dey get they own shine - Yankee Johnny Damon's hair is half-Elvis, half-Bob's BigBoy - Hov and A-Hov throw up the roc at the Yankee parade; ) there's Jeter with his throwback fade. where is his super hot fiancee Minka from Friday Night Lights? o she's there! she's so pretty" (Miss Info's Twitter)

The Yankees' World Series win on Wednesday (November 4) ignited an excited Twitter response from Busta Rhymes.

"If N.Y. Aint the muthaf*ckin' greatest then who is?HUH? HOLLA BACK IF U REALLY GOT SOMETHIN' 2 SAY WORTH ME LISTENIN' 2 ON A HATEFUL LEVEL! HOLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAA N*GGGGGGGGAAAASSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!NEW YORK RUN SH*T B*TCHES!!!!!!!!!HAHAHAH" (Busta Rhymes' Twitter)

With performances by artists like John Legend and Mary J. Blige prior to the games, Jay-Z recently spoke on his Game 2 "Empire State Of Mind" set with Alicia Keys.

"The moment at Yankee stadium for me, as a kid growing up in Brooklyn, I'm still high off of that," Jay explained in an interview. "But right after that, we got a police escort right to the airport and took a plane straight out...I felt like a kid, the field is beautiful, I never been that close to the field, walking around. I jumped over the center field fence like I was catching a homerun. ("Mike & Mike In The Morning")

The Yankees defeated the Philadelphia Phillies to win their 27th title.

They were finally able to party like it was 2000 Wednesday night, capturing their first title in nine years by clobbering the Phillies, 7-3, in Game 6 of the World Series in front of 50,315 at the Stadium, which got to witness a championship in its first season. The Yankees, in winning title No. 27 - the number Joe Girardi slapped on his back two years ago when he took over as manager - got a World Series record-tying six RBI from Hideki Matsui and a another grind-it-out effort by Andy Pettitte, who won his record 18th postseason game.
