Dipset leader Cam'ron has once again turned down talks of putting together a Diplomat reunion with Jim Jones and Juelz Santana by saying their past movement is now "dead."
Killa said spectators should give up on a Dipset reunion.
"When I shake somebody's hand, [my Diplomat tattoo] is what you see," Cam said in an interview. "Shake hands. The only thing that bothers me is when n*ggas be like, 'Oh, so you can be down with Dipset? They gonna put you back down?' How can you put somebody back down for something that they own? Keepin' it a hundred, Dipset is Dipset but Dipset is over. They gotta get over it." (World Star Hip Hop)
Cam previously addressed the fans and said getting back with his old crew was not possible.
"Look, I hear the deejays, I hear the fans, I hear everybody," Cam said in an interview last spring. "I'm not doing a Diplomats album. I'm not rhyming with Jim or Juelz or nothing. I wish them all the best of luck. Accept it people. The people don't wanna seem to accept it. I don't have time to do that, it's not happening, I'm not doing it." (NowWutTV)
Juelz Santana recently spoke on why he would break bread with Cam again despite their distance as of late.
"There's some things that gotta happen [for a reunion]," Santana said in an interview. "I would love to do anything for the fans because I'm not a selfish person. If the fans want to see something, I'm not saying it would be genuine, but it would be cool and I ain't on it like that. It's just different with somebody that you look at different do something to you than somebody that you don't expect to do something to you do something to you...I ain't the type of person to say I would never work with Cam. I'm too big for that at the end of the day. I just couldn't be blind or act like I'm blind when I see everything." (Hip Hop Game)
Juelz also spoke with SOHH last summer and shared his reaction to Cam extending his Diplomat ties with the creation of Dipset West.
"I always respected Cam's decisions," Juelz explained. "As far as Dipset, Cam is the boss. He do what he want, but you know, just as much as I can say that, n*gga has to give me my credit too as much as, as far as I've built that whole building though. You architected it but I built the whole building. I put at least 85 percent together, the bricks were geared to Dipset, like I said, Cam was always Cam before anything, ya dig? So when it came to Dipset, I was an artist that put everything on the back and really went forward. But as far as Dipset expanding, Dipset is in my blood. So, it is what it is, I don't know. How I feel about Dipset is how I always feel, with Cam, if that's what he wants to do, expand it, then it is what it is. I don't know them dudes over there to not like them -- I don't know them to say nothing about them. I respect all hustlers, anybody trying to get on in any type of way." (SOHH)
