The Game has emerged after months of silence with an announcement of being in the studio with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg for the long-awaited Detox album.
While details are still scarce, Game has resorted to Twitter and posted an image of himself, Dre and Snoop together in the studio.
"CAN U SAY "DETOX" ??? IN THE STUDIO WIT DRE & SNOOP. WE BOUT 2 MAKE ALOT OF PEOPLE MAD. RIDE WIT US OR GET RAN OVER ! AFTERMATH OR DIE !" (The Game's Twitter)
Snoop also hit up his Twitter page to display the same image and confirm being in the studio with both artists.
"What's more gangsta than dis?," he wrote. "N the studio right now!!! west coast takeover. this is how the west was one!!!" (Snoop Dogg's Twitter)
Dre has also reportedly linked with West Coast rapper Slim da Mobster for help on the project.
"I'm not even focused on my album right now," Slim said in an interview. "I'm all about his album. 'Cause the better I do on that, the better it is for the situation with my album." After getting the co-signs from the big homies Dre and Eminem, 50 Cent was the next to jump on-board behind the young rapper. Now, Slim Da Mobster is the first artist signed to all three artists, representing G-Unit/Shady/Aftermath. (MTV)
Dre previously leaked a Detox snippet via a Dr. Pepper commercial last spring.
"Scientific test prove when you drink Dr. Pepper slow, the 23 flavors taste even better. For me, slow always produces a hit," Dr. Dre says in the commercial, before stepping behind a DJ booth, putting on a pair of his own signature "Beats" headphones and slowing down the sped-up techno song that's playing by placing a can of Dr. Pepper over the record. The new track comes on, the party goes wild and Dre states "Slower is better -- trust me, I'm a doctor." Other spots in the campaign feature Dr. J, "Dr. Frasier Crane" and Gene Simmons (aka "Doctor Love"). (Billboard)
