A complaint letter from Soulja Boy Tell Em's California landlord has landed online and shows the teen rap star owing nearly $10,000 in unpaid bills.
Aside from the bill, Soulja Boy was accused of causing "noise disturbances" in his Los Angeles apartment building.
"We have received complaints of noise disturbances and guests wandering the hallway and Observation Deck. This is a direct violation of your Lease Agreement." The letter continues, "Additionally, we were notified that you had over 10 cars parked in guest parking on the evening of September 25th. This is a violation of your lease ... which states, 'You may have no more than two overnight guests at a time unless we provide specific approval.'" Less than a week after that letter was sent, the landlord followed up with a bill for $9,376.10 in unpaid rent and late fees. (TMZ)
The rapper made headlines last week for being arrested in Georgia.
Soulja Boy was charged with obstruction after telling officers that people gathered at an abandoned Georgia house were shooting a music video. Henry County Police Capt. Jason Bolton said Friday that when officers arrived Wednesday night to investigate complaints, almost half of the 40 people assembled fled by foot. Later, a man identified as DeAndre Cortez Way, Soulja Boy's real name, returned and said the group was shooting a video. Way was charged with obstruction and bonded out of the Henry County jail on Thursday. A telephone call to his publicist was not immediately returned. (Associated Press)
Speaking via Twitter, the emcee later touched on his arrest.
"RT @Kwabby6 @souljaboytellem y they let yo a** outta jail? <-- Cuz i'm rich b*tch!," he wrote Friday (October 9). "To all my fans, I just wanna put this behind me! I'm not going back to jail!! Let's focus on the BET Awards! :) --> www.bet.com/tellem" (Soulja Boy Tell Em's Twitter)
He is currently in the studio with Kanye West putting together multiple projects.
"I'm working on Kanye's next album right now," Soulja Boy revealed in an interview over the summer. "We working together on production because he makes beats and I make beats. Right now I'm remixing a couple of records for him. I'm actually working on [Kanye's] album while he's working on my album." (Rap-Up)
