Wu-Tang Clan leader RZA has landed a new movie role alongside actors Robert Downey, Jr. and Jamie Foxx in an upcoming film called Due Date.

Details on the movie's plot have begun to circulate online.

Due Date is a road trip movie that centers on a father (Downey) to be as he anxiously tries to venture cross country to make it in time for his child's birth. Unfortunately, he has to hitch a ride with an annoying slacker (Zach Galifianakis) in order to make that happen. Michelle Monaghan has been cast as the pregnant wife, and Jamie Foxx will star as her ex-boyfriend, who also happens to be one of Downey's best buds. (Screen Crave)

The film will reportedly be overseen by Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. has set RZA to star alongside Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis in Due Date, the Todd Phillips-directed comedy. Phillips is producing through his Green Hat banner with Daniel Goldberg. Scott Budnick is executive producer. Warner Bros is partnered with Legendary Pictures on the film, and Susan Downey is executive producing. (Variety)

He previously secured a role in the Adam Sandler comedy Funny People over the summer.

So far, there's no more information available about what kind of role Eminem will play in the film, but a movie photo shows him sitting across from Sandler at a restaurant table, seemingly lending an ear -- perhaps in a friend role? Cast includes Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann, Eric Bana, Jonah Hill, Jason Schwartzman, Norm MacDonald, Sarah Silverman, Aziz Ansari, RZA, Dave Attell and others. (Michigan Live)

RZA's Wu brother Raekwon revealed plans to make a move towards Hollywood in a recent interview.

"I'm starting to really do that film thing," Raekwon told DJ Whoo Kid in an interview. "Cause I had to go to LA to really invest what's going on with that paper. Because when you do this rap sh*t so long, you kinda wanna go to another level with it. I've been scheming on that since RZA been out there. We always been involved with that because we always got people calling us to do sh*t. I just wanted to go out there and I bumped into a little gold mine." (Radio Planet TV)

No further information has been revealed as of now.
