Grammy-winning singer Rihanna has emerged back into the media spotlight by confirming new reports of her album landing in stores next month.
Writing via Twitter, the singer announced her "return" with an album cover image, however, she did not reveal the project's title.
"The Wait Is Ova. Nov 23 09," she wrote Tuesday (October 13). Guess who's bizack. Ri-Ri announced on her new Twitter account last night that she's ready to knock a few cats off the top of the charts this fourth quarter. (Rap Radar)
Various photos from the singer's alleged album photo shoot have also landed online.
Rihanna was spotted in New York yesterday fresh from the shooting of her upcoming album cover in Berlin. She was caught by the paparazzi as she arrived at a recording studio last night (October 13). Sporting a sleek new blonde haircolor and slightly a longer fauxhawk, RiRi did the dayum thang as usual. (Straight From The A)
According to Justin Timberlake, the singer has taken a more "grown-up" approach for her follow-up to 2007's Good Girl Gone Bad.
"The stuff we've come up with in the studio, it's the next step for her," he said in an interview. "It's a little more grown-up. It's got some edge to it." (MTV)
London producers Chase & Status have also spoken on the records they have put together for Rihanna.
"When she doesn't like something she'll let you know," they explained. "When she likes something she'll let you know as well. On one track she came up with some cool melodies and cool ideas, the kind of vibe she wanted. This album for her is just about what she likes and what she's into and what she wants. If she's not into the vibe she'll be like, 'Nope, I don't think it's for me'. Or if something is a bit too bolshie, she's like, 'That's not what I'm trying to push right now.'" (BBC News)
The singer's untitled album is due in stores Monday, November 23rd.
