Rick Ross has continued to taunt boxing champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr. by calling the athlete "sweet" and claiming he won their war of words.
Speaking during a radio interview, Ross also admitted to being a fan of Mayweather.
"Well, she did some things," Ross jokingly said about why he is involved in a beef with Mayweather. "Just to get some attention, said some things and I punished her. She got my attention so I lashed out. I punished her and now she just released another statement retracting what she was saying before. That's all I wanted, stay in your place young lady. We know you're sweet. Straight sugar. I'ma be honest, I am a fan. He said it, I did go to the fights. The $5,500 seats, yeah, I was right there, I coulda threw a red soda on you. She lives an alternative lifestyle and we gonna leave it at that. Much success to your boxing but just respect the G's." (UStream)
Describing their different careers, Mayweather recently promised Ross was not on his radar.
"I just think that when you are one a certain level, you just let things go by," Mayweather said about his situation with the "Boss." "I'm a fighter. That's what I do. I'm into contact. He's a rapper. That's what he do. The thing I'm gonna do is stay in my lane and let him stay in his lane. But it seems Rick Ross is a fan of Floyd Mayweather -- in fact, Rick Ross was at the Ricky Hatton fight. He paid money to see me... I appreciate the donation from Rick Ross." (MTV)
While sarcastically wishing Floyd "much success," Ross recently took a few jabs at the boxer during a separate interview.
"Oh yeah, I did a version that was picking on that girl," Ross laughingly admitted in an interview with radio personality Big Tigger. "Nah, you know, some of my G's out in Vegas told me, you know, that he was kinda sweet. So I just put it on the table and they haven't addressed it. It is what it is, I wish him much success. But he wanted my attention so I gave it to her. [laughs]" (Live In The Den)
Mayweather previously addressed Rick Ross in an interview over the summer.
"I don't have to take no shots at Rick Ross," Floyd said. "I got my own name, Floyd 'Money' Mayweather. That's original. With his rap career, I wish him nothing but the best...His stats and credentials don't rhyme. One minute he said he wasn't a CO or cop, next minute he is. He can learn how to get money from me. if he's a cop and rapping about selling drugs, I guess he was a dirty cop! You know me, I'm not ducking and dodging no one, it's not hard to find me. I'm in Miami all the time, Atlanta, everywhere." (All Hip Hop)
