Grammy-winning singer Ne-Yo has spoken out about Rihanna's new album which drops next month and said Chris Brown's former girlfriend has "some stuff to say."
While not giving away full details, Ne-Yo said Rihanna would address her issues through the music.
"I've heard a good majority of the album...world, get ready," he said in an interview. "That's all I'm going to say. World, get ready...The best and safest way I can say this is that Rihanna has some stuff to say and she's going to say it and she ain't going to make no apologies for it." (MTV)
Writing via Twitter, Rihanna announced her "return" with an album cover image, however, she did not reveal the project's title.
"The Wait Is Ova. Nov 23 09," she wrote Tuesday (October 13). Guess who's bizack. Ri-Ri announced on her new Twitter account last night that she's ready to knock a few cats off the top of the charts this fourth quarter. (Rap Radar)
Various photos from the singer's alleged album photo shoot have also landed online.
Rihanna was spotted in New York yesterday fresh from the shooting of her upcoming album cover in Berlin. She was caught by the paparazzi as she arrived at a recording studio last night (October 13). Sporting a sleek new blonde haircolor and slightly a longer fauxhawk, RiRi did the dayum thang as usual. (Straight From The A)
Rihanna's new album will face stiff competition from both pop and rap stars upon its release.
Universal Music Group is serving up a plentiful feast for Thanksgiving week. Some of the biggest names in music will all release their high-profile albums on the Monday before the holiday. The recording giant has moved up the majority of its November 24 releases by one day to Monday, November 23, a day before the traditional Tuesday release. The shift extends across the Universal umbrella, including Interscope Geffen A&M, Universal Motown/Republic, and Island Def Jam. The new date will take advantage of the start of the holiday shopping season when customers flock to stores to stock up on gifts. 50 Cent's Before I Self Destruct, Rihanna's new album, Timbaland's Shock Value 2, Lady Gaga's The Fame Monster, Jay Sean's All or Nothing and Birdman's Pricele$$ will all drop on the same day.
