News: Mike Epps Says "Janky Promoters" Is Not Hitting Theaters, "That Movie Got Dumped" [Video]

SOHH spoke to Mike Epps about why, Janky Promoters, the comedy which was supposed to be Young Jeezy's film debut has been scrapped.
According to Epps, there were complications with the project's film studio.
"That movie got dumped," Epps revealed. "Yeah, you might catch it on DVD or something. It didn't work. It was some studio issues. Studio issues, it didn't work." In addition to Janky Promoters, Epps also told SOHH he decided not to take part in the film Lottery Ticket with Ice Cube but did not explain why. (SOHH)
Recent reports suggested that Ice Cube, who also stars in the film, was looking for distribution.
Earlier this year, Epps and Cube shot the movie Janky Promoters, which also stars Young Jeezy. The movie, which centers on two shifty music promoters, has yet to be released while Cube and company have been negotiating the comedy's distribution. (MTV)
Details on the movie landed online in July 2008.
Rapper Young Jeezy will play the hip-hop artist at the center of writer-actor-producer Ice Cube's forthcoming comedy Janky Promoters, about a pair of shady concert promoters in over their heads. Marcus Raboy (Friday After Next) is directing the Dimension Films comedy, which is already shooting, and Cube Vision partner Matt Alvarez is producing. (The Hollywood Reporter)
