DJ Khaled has linked with Young Jeezy for a large portion of his upcoming Victory album and decided to add an element of R&B by also tapping Drake and Usher.
Claiming it was his first time working with both artists, Khaled described the amount of respect he especially had for Drizzy.
"I worked with someone I never worked with before that I always wanted to work with," Khaled said in an interview. "I won't tell you if it's one of my singles or one of the singles, 'cause I like that to be a surprise. But I did work with someone I always wanted to work with; his name is Usher. I did work with him, and I'm excited by that. I worked with someone [else] I never worked with before; his name is Drake. I'm a fan of his music. I think he's talented...I got everybody on there. I'm giving you little vibes about what's going on. [Young] Jeezy is a major part of my album. We doing this, this album right here. I gave you 'We Takin' Over.' I gave you 'I'm So Hood.' I gave you 'Go Hard.' I gave you 'Holler at Me.' I do this. I make timeless music." (MTV)
Khaled previously hinted at what his latest effort would offer fans.
"It's gonna be something new, refreshing, different," Khaled said in an interview last May. "One thing that ain't gonna change is me reppin' the people. The thing that I plan to pull off with my album is some 'How'd he do that.' Quote yourself as saying 'Am I really hearing this?' Saying to yourself 'Wow. I can't believe this is being done in an amazing way. I'm about to make the most incredible music that's ever been made... Right now, I got this vibe going. I'm in a zone, man." (All Hip Hop)
Another E1 Music release he has on deck is the upcoming Live From the 305 compilation disc with fellow Miami labelhead E-Class.

Fat Joe recently co-signed Khaled's executive move to become Def Jam South earlier this year.
"No one has ever seen an executive like DJ Khaled," Joe said in an interview. "Everybody in the music business who's an executive has been polished for the job. Khaled comes with the energy that hasn't been seen in this game, ever, from the day that f*cking Lyor Cohen and Russell Simmons opened Def Jam! He's going to put out nothing but hits. And I expect him to be one of the biggest executives in a couple of years, the hip-hop game has ever seen. I guarantee he's going to be an executive of a lifetime. Remember I told you." (Complex)
Khaled's Victory is slated to hit store shelves in 2010.
