News: Consequence On Kanye West's Music Absence, "He's In A Good Place"

Kanye West associate Consequence recently spoke on the G.O.O.D. Music label head's retreat from the media spotlight as of late and said the rapper has been in a "good place."
From Cons' perspective, Yeezy has been able to rebound from last month's controversial Video Music Awards 2009 outburst.
"He's in a good place [right now]," Consequence, a frequent collaborator whose upcoming Cons TV album is being overseen by West, said in an interview. "We talk every two or three days. I got up with him right after [the VMAs] happened. At the end of the day, MTV has been a great outlet for [Kanye's label] G.O.O.D. Music as a company. Regardless of whatever [else] goes on, there's a great respect there, a great admiration for what the outlet is. We grew up off of that." (MTV)
Various sites have suggested Ye has made a move to India as a result of the incident.
Rumor has it Kanye West is off to India to clear his mind. Just last week he canceled his ambitious "Fame Kills" tour with Lady Gaga. Now the troubled rapper has reportedly booked a month at Hindu guru Sri Aurobindo's ashram in Pondicherry, India. (Prefix Mag)
According to Beyonce, she understood why Kanye took a controversial stance during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech.
"Well, I knew his intentions, and I knew he was standing up for art; and he told me before, when they said the nominees, he's like, 'You have this award,'" Beyonce explained. "And when they didn't call my name he was, like, completely shocked. And when he walked on the stage, I was like, 'No, no, no!' and then he spoke, and I was like, 'Oh, no, no, no!' ... But in the end, it ended up being a great night, and Taylor Swift did get her moment -- and I didn't have to make an acceptance speech." (Billboard)
Memphis Bleek also said Ye should take a break from the music scene.
"It was a little outta line, but then again, that's Kanye," Bleek explained in an interview with radio personality Tim Westwood. "You gotta expect that from him. I don't think he got issues, he never really took the time to deal with the problems in his life. This is his way of venting, like, some people, they lose a lot and a lot of tragic things happen in they life and they spiral outta control and go crazy. I think he realized the breaking point. If you heard his speech on Jay Leno's show, he realized, 'Yo, I need to take some time off and really chill out.' And I felt him, that's real talk, he really do. He's been constantly working for five years straight." (Tim Westwood TV)
