Kanye West associate Amber Rose has cleared up rumors which began Wednesday (October 21) morning claiming the award-winning producer had mysteriously died.
Writing via Twitter, Rose lashed out against the gossip and also began a trending topic called LongLiveYeezy.
"This RIPKanyeWest topic is not funny and its NOT TRUE! He has people like myself and his family that love him very much," she wrote Wednesday morning. "Its in extreme poor taste to have that as a trendy topic. It's totally disrespectful to make up a story like this where all human and we all make mistakes and to say someone died cuz of a mistake is ridiculous. U wouldn't want someone to say that about u. Or someone u love it's not funny." (Amber Rose's Twitter)
Reports of Yeezy's alleged passing circulated early Wednesday.
It is believed to have started on social networking site Twitter. The phrase " RIP Kanye West" was one of the top tags on Twitter in the early hours on Wednesday and the phrase "Kanye West Dead" was the top search trend on Google overnight. This shows how rapidly false information can travel because of social networking sites. (My Fox News)
Speaking via his blog, Yeezy previously called out the numerous Twitter users whom intentionally created fake accounts in his name last May.
"(This spaz comes courtesy of losers making fake Kanye West Twitter accounts) I don't have a f*cking Twitter," Ye wrote unmodified. "Why would I use Twitter??? I only blog five percent of what I'm up to in the first place. I'm actually slow delivering content because I'm too busy actually busy being creative most of the time and if I'm not and I'm just laying on a beach I wouldn't tell the world. Everything that Twitter offers I need less of. The people at Twitter know I don't have a f*cking Twitter so for them to allow someone to pose as me and accumulate over a million names is irresponsible and deceitful to their faithful users. Repeat. The heads of Twitter knew I didn't have a Twitter and they have to know which accounts have high activity on them. It's a f*cking farce and it makes me question what other so called celebrity Twitters are actually real or fake. Hey Twitter, take the so called Kanye West Twitter down now. Why? Because my caps locks is loud!!!!!!!!" (Kanye West's Blog)
With over one million followers, the person behind 50 Cent's Twitter account, Chris Romero, recently emerged and explained his duties.
On March 1, he shared this insight with the more than 200,000 people who follow him: "My ambition leads me through a tunnel that never ends." Those were 50 Cent's words, but it was not exactly him tweeting. Rather, it was Chris Romero, known as Broadway, the director of the rapper's Web empire, who typed in those words after reading them in an interview. "He doesn't actually use Twitter," Mr. Romero said of 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson III, "but the energy of it is all him." (New York Times)
