News: SOHH EXCLUSIVE: Quincy "QD3" Jones III Teams W/ Tyrese For 5 Million Kids Campaign

With the upcoming launch of the 5 Million Kids National Education Campaign to help promote financial literacy among kids, SOHH spoke with Quincy "QD3" Jones III to learn more about his involvement in the initiative.

According to QD3, he will be helping assist on the digital end of the campaign.

"We're working with John Hope Bryant who is the president of Financial Literacy and we're putting together a program to help inner city kids learn financial literacy," he explained. "And my part of it is to work with him on digital literacy. I'm very big into digital technology and media and we're going to show kids how to build [financial] graphs and that sort of thing." In addition to featuring Silkk the Shocker and Day 26, the event will also be headlined by music pioneer Quincy Jones and Tyrese.

Jones has teamed up with Tyrese and his film making offspring QD3 for a partnership with L.A. based Operation HOPE. Together they will launch the 5 Million Kids National Education Campaign in an attempt to teach 5 million children and their guardians the benefits of being financially literate. The innovative initiative will attempt to sparks interest in the school activities by finding nearly 25,00 volunteers for classrooms around the country while opening nearly 50,000 new bank accounts for those who have been traditionally deemed 'unbanked' and under banked. Jones recently spoke on the importance of educating the youth.

'Doing nothing about children's situations is no longer an option,' said Jones. 'There are four core God-given rights that any child should have: the right to have a family, good health, an education, and hope.' (Business Wire)

HOPE founder John Bryant also weighed in on the event.
