After yesterday's (August 31) unauthorized internet release of Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3, N.O.R.E. told SOHH he planned to defend his former Roc-A-Fella associate by telling fans to wait for its official release next week.

Once a member of Jay's Roc-La-Familia record label around 2005, Nore has sided with the rap mogul and explained his stance on the illegal downloads.

"I just feel Hiphop owes jay alot more then downloading a free album," he wrote to SOHH in a statement. "I got the email and deleted them support Hov [and] get the realbp3." (SOHH)

Nore has also resorted to his Twitter page to help get fans to resist downloading an illegal version of the album.

"@noreaga #IFYOULOVEHIPHOP YOU WILL NOT DOWNLOAD BLUEPRINT 3! (can you help me spread this?) (via @CHINO_BANKS)," he wrote Monday (August 31) night. "Honestly people erase the bp3 email let the homey hov live just cause u got the emails don't mean u gotta download it @mafiosoglok na it ain't that at all I just don't support any bootleg music in no way shape form or fashion I will not disrespect bp3 by downloading I will wait patiently to buy it (via @Lu_Guz)." Hov acknowledged the unauthorized downloads yesterday and spoke on his thoughts of the project being released nearly two weeks earlier than the drop date.

"I may be the most bootlegged artist in history," he said in an interview after learning the news. "It's a preview. I'm excited for people to hear the album. I'm very proud of the work I've down, so enjoy it...My pager is actually ringing right now, so people are probably calling me and telling me they pretty much like it. I can tell by the way my pager rings if a song is good or not. It's really going crazy right now." (MTV)

Jay has also teamed with music retailer Rhapsody and MTV to debut a stream-only version of his album beginning today.

Rhapsody and MTV are the exclusive places to hear the new Jay-Z album, The Blueprint 3, starting September 1, nearly two weeks prior to official release date -- Rhapsody will be the exclusive retailer for The Blueprint 3 from September 8-10, prior to official September 11 release date -- Two exclusive bonus tracks will be available from Rhapsody on September 8 -- Rhapsody collaborates with Jay-Z on TV advertisements promoting the new album -- Rhapsody to premiere a 60-second customized Jay-Z advertisement in 2009 MTV VMAs.
