After missing out on a chance to open a series of Lil Wayne's United Kingdom concerts this summer SOHH spoke with Kid Cudi about his relationship with the Young Money labelhead and the possibility of rescheduling their performance together.

Since Wayne canceled the concerts due to illness, Cudi says he missed out on an opportunity to build a firm relationship with the self-proclaimed "Greatest Rapper Alive."

"I've yet to have a solid conversation with Wayne," Cudi explained. "The times I've met Wayne, I've been like a fan to Lil Wayne, like handshake, keep it moving type of thing. Every time I met him, it wasn't a circumstance where I could chop it up with him. So I've never really had the chance to introduce myself so I was excited about those European shows but you know, he had his situation and actually, he seems better now and re-scheduled. But my schedule was kinda crazy by the time he got to reschedule so I wasn't able to get on the same bill to do those shows but I really plan on working with Wayne, hopefully, we can get some shows together or something. I'm gonna be in New York shooting the HBO show [while he's in the UK.] (SOHH)

Both emcees were slated to perform last July, however, Wayne reportedly had medical complications which caused the cancelation.

Lil Wayne has postponed his forthcoming European shows, one including rapper Kid Cudi, expected to kick off in Paris on Thursday (July 2), due to illness. Reports claim he needs some "doctor approved rest." The rap star was set to play seven dates in Europe over the next 10 days, including the Roskilde Festival in Denmark and two dates in London. Wayne recently re-scheduled the performance dates for early next month.

Remember when we posted about Lil Wayne's tour in Europe. And its subsequent cancellation, and Weezy F Baby's health reasons for its delay. Well it was true when we said that the shows would be rescheduled. Hammerstein Apollo concert hall in England has reported on their website that the shows will be taking place on the 7th and 8th of this upcoming October. Even better news for our readers from the UK is that the tickets from the July dates will be valid for these new dates!" (New Lil Wayne)

Cudi signed to Universal Motown, home to artists like Wayne and Busta Rhymes, last April.

"Kid Cudi is at the vanguard of a game-changing new generation of artists," Universal Motown President Sylvia Rhone said in a statement last April. "He crosses musical boundaries with an appeal that goes beyond genre, format, race, language, and culture. Cudi lives easily in the hip-hop, indie rock, pop, and R&B worlds...He is a breath of fresh air - a dynamic and important new voice, not only in the next phase of hip-hop, but as a groundbreaking trendsetter who represents the future. I am thrilled to welcome Kid Cudi into the Universal Motown family." (Statement)
