News: MTV's VMA Winners List Allegedly Leaks Online, Network Responds

After an alleged list of MTV Video Music Award winners leaked online 24 hours before the ceremony showing artists Eminem and Lady Gaga walking home with trophies, the network has responded.

According to MTV blogger Tamar Anitai, the leaked list holds no authenticity.

"Guys, that leaked VMA winners list is fake. (You hear it first!) @mtv," a message read from a Twitter message." (MTV Buzzworthy Twitter)

The alleged winners list landed online late Saturday (September 12) night.

Eminem will reportedly make his first MTV awards ceremony appearance since his infamous Bruno stunt at the Movie Awards last June during Sunday's Video Music Awards.

Eminem will be making a special appearance during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, September 13th, 2009 at 9 PM. Presenters include Megan Fox, Jimmy Fallon, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, 50 Cent, Jack Black, Andy Samberg, Kristin Cavallari, Pete Wenz, Gerard Butler, Tracy Morgan, Adam Brody, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Alexa Chung, Ne-Yo, Nelly Furtado and more. Alicia Keys and Jay-Z will also hit the stage together to perform at the event.

Both Eminem and Hov were set to compete against stiff mainstream emcees in the "Best Hip-Hop Video" category at the ceremony.
