News: Lil Wayne & Lauren London Welcome New Baby, Birth Confirmed

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne and actress Lauren London have given birth to their first child together from a Los Angeles, California hospital.

Reports initially broke out Saturday (September 12) evening.

According to reports, actress Lauren London has given birth to a son at Ceder Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. While the name of her child is unknown at this point, he is a healthy 7 lbs and 12 oz., and 21 inches long. The baby's father is multi-platinum rapper Lil Wayne, who was said to have stayed by the ATL star's side throughout the delivery. (The Boom Box)

Despite claims of the birth taking place over the weekend, a publicist for London has clarified initial reports.

In an exclusive statement to, Actress Lauren London confirmed the birth of her baby boy on Wednesday (September 9). According to Lauren London's publicist, Jocelyn R. Coleman of Favor PR, "Lauren London and Dwayne Carter welcomed their healthy baby boy into the world on 09-09-09. Everyone is happy and well." (Hip Hollywood)

Wayne previously revealed London as being one of his latest baby's mothers.

"She's very pregnant," he said in an interview last month. "That's not rumors, that's a kid. That's a child. A life. You don't hide from that." (Necole Bitchie)

The rapper welcomed in his second child last October.

Weezy's rep confirmed his baby was successfully born at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati on October 22. Despite the release of his son's name, no information about who the mother is has been issued yet. The self-proclaimed "Greatest Rapper Alive" recently revealed the news about being a father again when he attended BET's Hip-Hop Awards over the weekend. Upon beating superstars Jay-Z, T.I. and Kanye West for the "MVP of the Year" award, Weezy publicly made his announcement. (US Magazine)
