Rap newcomer Kid Cudi has confirmed that he deleted both his Twitter account and personal blog saying he became too overwhelmed with maintenance.

Despite the popularity of Twitter among the rap community including Diddy and Fabolous, Cudi vouched to dead his personal account.

"I have an iPhone and I don't even utilize all of the applications on it," Cudi explained. "Just alone on an iPhone you can have multiple e-mails -- I have two e-mails -- text messaging, some people have AIM on there, MySpace, Facebook -- and I don't even have those things...With Twitter, my two e-mails, text messaging, and my phone ringing, that's just overwhelming. And you gotta think of it like this, what did they do before there were cell phones? Use a pay phone or write a letter. Or you catch 'em at the crib....I think I want to take it back to that. Sometimes it just shouldn't be that easy for you to get in contact with me." (Rap-Up)

Cudi previously used his blog to address being arrested at a Reebok party last February.

"I was tasered (sh*t hurt like a muthaf*cka), I was not arrested," Cudi wrote in his blog. "I left in my car service immediately after the incident took place. I didn't put my hands on anyone...It wasn't over me wearing Jordans; I arrived at the event in the most fugliest Reeboks ever, forcefully...For those who care I'm okay. I appreciate your concern...As far as what really happened, I know the truth and God knows the truth and my peoples who were there know the truth and thats all that matters." (Kid Cudi)

The person behind 50 Cent's popular Twitter account recently emerged, alleging the rapper has assistance with the latest social networking tool.

On March 1, he shared this insight with the more than 200,000 people who follow him: "My ambition leads me through a tunnel that never ends." Those were 50 Cent's words, but it was not exactly him tweeting. Rather, it was Chris Romero, known as Broadway, the director of the rapper's Web empire, who typed in those words after reading them in an interview. "He doesn't actually use Twitter," Mr. Romero said of 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson III, "but the energy of it is all him." (New York Times)

Kanye West recently revealed the hired staff he uses for his popular daily blog.

"I might [blog for] two hours in a day, it might be fifteen minutes in a day," Ye said in an interview. "I have two people that I hired and I tell them exactly what I want -- it's just like how a designer would work. I tell them, you know, Surface Magazine, Wallpaper, Architectural Digest, Hypebeast, Bossip, go to these different blogs and keep on pulling information. And then they send it to me, and I get like 80 e-mails, and I have to check and go through them. And sometimes I'll have my own stuff where I'll just be in a cool place, like if I had my camera right now, I'd like photograph this stuff and go home and be really excited to blog it."
