After nearly a decade of going at one another on diss records, Ja Rule has revealed that his on-going rap feud with DMX was officially settled at VH1's Hip Hop Honors ceremony last night (September 23).
While keeping details brief, Rule said he mended ties with his former Def Jam labelmate.
"Hip hop honors was a historic night despite the little mishap wit my sound," Rule wrote via Twitter Thursday. "and NO nobody walked out on my set me & x made up good night!!!" (Ja Rule's Twitter)
Bloggers attending the event also suggested that both artists squashed their past beef.
I knew my eyes weren't deceiving me. As X was leaving the venue, he stopped by Ja's seat on the aisle. Greeted him with a smile and a hug. Ja looked real happy like a lil' brother and embraced him back for about 5 seconds. The crowd literally went, 'Ahh!' Then X and his new dame bounced. Ja remained seated. (Rap Radar)
The event also marked Ja's reunion with former labelmate Ashanti.
MurderInc-Online.com can exclusively reveal that Ja Rule will be performing with Ashanti at VH1's Hip-Hop Honors and we can also exclusively reveal they will be performing 'Always On Time' and 'Down 4 You'. Below is a photo of Ja Rule and Ashanti rehearsing that we borrowed from somebody on twitter. The show airs Tuesday October 13th on VH1 but will be recorded September 23rd. (Murder Inc Online)
Rule previously said X was the one behind sparking their feud.
"I never had a confrontation with DMX," Rule said backstage during rehearsals for the 2002 Video Music Awards. "He's always had a [problem] with me. Since the beginning of my career, I ignored it. I felt my way of answering him was to be very successful and that would hurt him the most. So I blasted off and now he's back again and he's mad again 'cause of my success." (MTV)
