G-Unit associate DJ Whoo Kid recently spoke about what fans can expect from Eminem's upcoming Relapse 2 album and promised a return of the "old" Slim Shady is in store.
While keeping details brief, Whoo Kid said Em's Relapse follow-up would be packed with lyricism.
"What I really laughed at was the Mariah Carey [diss record]," Whoo Kid said in an interview. "That was funny. But that's nothing compared to Relapse 2. What I heard, that's just 2 percent [of the intensity]. Eminem from back in the day has returned. The crazy, lyrical, maniacal Eminem is back. Maniac! He was maniacal, but that was like, 'Let me come back now. Let me get my sh*t situated. Who I gotta go at? Let me see what's going on. Let me get comfortable.' Now that he's comfortable, now he's gonna be like [a monster] in Relapse 2. Good luck, people." (MTV)
A rumored release date for the album landed online last month via Amazon's United Kingdom website.

Em's manager, Paul Rosenberg, later responded to the alleged release date.
According to Em's longtime manager and business associate Paul Rosenberg, there is no truth to the November 17 date whatsoever, despite the fact that amazon.com has it posted on its website. (XXLMag)
Shady previously announced his aim to drop Relapse 2 earlier this year.
"A lot of people were expecting Relapse to drop last year," Eminem said in a statement. "I was one of them. Then Dr. Dre and I went back in the studio in September for a few days, and that turned into six months. We were on such a roll; we wound up with a ton of new music produced by Dre. Putting out Relapse 2 will let everyone get all of the best stuff." (Press Release)
A confirmed release date has not yet been announced.
