News: Chris Brown Begins Community Service, Photos Land Online

Today Chris Brown began the 180 hours of community service that he must complete as part of the plea deal agreement that he reached last month in the domestic dispute case with former girlfriend, Rihanna.

Photos of Brown working outside in Virginia landed online Wednesday (September 16) morning.

Chris Brown has started his community service and RadarOnline.com has got the exclusive photos to prove it. The singer, dressed in an orange vest and red baseball cap, appears to be pulling weeds on a roadside. The R&B singer tweeted Wednesday morning 'on my way to community service...' (Radar Online)

The decision was delivered in a Los Angeles, California courtroom last month.

Pop singer Chris Brown was sentenced today to five years of probation and 180 days community labor -- to be personally supervised by the chief of police in Richmond, Va. -- in connection with his attack on former girlfriend Rihanna. L.A. County He was also ordered him to stay at least 50 yards away from Rihanna, 21, for the next five years. (Los Angeles Times)

Los Angeles Judge Patricia Schnegg personally announced the sentence.

"You are going to be placed on formal felony probation for a period of sixty months," Schnegg told Brown. "I'm going to keep probation to be supervised by state of California with Mr. Brown performing his domestic violence counseling and community labor in the state of Virginia." (E! Online)

Brown will also be subject to random DNA sample requests and searches.

He must provide DNA samples as requested by authorities. Brown must also keep in touch with the Probation Department and is subject to search and seizure 24/7 for the next 5 years. He can't own any dangerous weapon, including guns or knives. Brown must pay $2,500 in restitution and another $2,500 in probation expenses. He must also pay a $30 criminal conviction fee --BARGAIN! He must also pay $400 that goes into a domestic violence fund. Brown must get prior approval before leaving the country. (TMZ)
