Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon recently announced plans to follow in RZA's footsteps by taking his rap career to another level in Hollywood.

While keeping details scarce, the "Chef" said he was interested in learning about earning profits away from the rap scene.

"I'm starting to really do that film thing," Raekwon told DJ Whoo Kid in an interview. "Cause I had to go to LA to really invest what's going on with that paper. Because when you do this rap sh*t so long, you kinda wanna go to another level with it. I've been scheming on that since RZA been out there. We always been involved with that because we always got people calling us to do sh*t. I just wanted to go out there and I bumped into a little gold mine." (Radio Planet TV)

Aside from working with Quentin Tarantino on the musical score for Kill Bill Volume 1, RZA recently landed an on-screen role in Adam Sandler's Funny People.

So far, there's no more information available about what kind of role Eminem will play in the film, but a movie photo shows him sitting across from Sandler at a restaurant table, seemingly lending an ear -- perhaps in a friend role. Cast includes Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann, Eric Bana, Jonah Hill, Jason Schwartzman, Norm MacDonald, Sarah Silverman, Aziz Ansari, RZA, Dave Attell and others. (Michigan Live)

Fellow Wu-Tang member Method Man was recently tagged to star in an upcoming George Lucas film called Red Tails.

Lucasfilm said that the movie, about the all-black crew, would star Terrence Howard, Cuba Gooding Jr., Nate Parker and Bryan Cranston. Other cast members include Tristan Wilds, Cliff Smith (better known as Method Man) and Ne-Yo. The film is to be directed by Anthony Hemingway and written by John Ridley. (New York Times)

In addition to films, Raekwon's Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2 is set to be released next month.

"Peace yall just seen the last visual of the Walk wit me video and its classic," he wrote last month via Twitter. "will be giving ya a teaser real soon!
